HeartSpark Chinese was founded in January 2024 in San Jose, California. We have a professional teaching staff in the fields of Chinese language education and content development, and we create original graded courses suitable for Chinese learners from different backgrounds overseas. We believe that interest is the first step to learning, therefore, our curriculum design and game activities are based on the reality of American students. We strive to create fun, multi-level, low-pressure, and high-opportunity classrooms for students, and together with them, comfortably experience the joy brought by the Chinese language and culture.
We also believe that the process of learning a language is a process of coming into contact with different cultures, opening one's eyes to the world, and broadening one's horizons. We hope that students can form their own unique understanding and feelings about the world in the process of learning Chinese, and face the brand new future of mankind with confidence.

🌼 玉米老师（yù mǐ lǎo shī）：
Founder of HeartSpark Chinese;
Director of Curriculum Development and Research Department;
20 years of professional experience in Chinese language education and content development;
Master's degrees in Chinese Language and Literature, Comparative Literature and World Literature;
Senior teacher of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language;
National (Level 2) psychological counselor in China;
Former university Chinese language instructor in China;
Participated in the compilation and publication of the Ninhao Learning Chinese textbook series;
Developed an online learning platform to accompany the textbooks;
Developed teaching content for US-based education platforms;
Head of after-school Chinese programs at multiple private schools in the US.
🌼 樱桃老师（yīng tao lǎo shī）：
Graduated from the School of Journalism of Fudan University;
Currently pursuing an M.A. in Education at Santa Clara University (SCU);
Director of Teaching Department;
Practitioner of Chinese language education and children's education in the United States, knowledgeable and amiable, deeply loved by children;
Popular columnist and writer;
Experienced media professional at various TV stations and newspapers.
🌼 柚子老师（yòu zi lǎo shī）：
Master's degree in Engineering from Zhejiang University;
Actively promotes Chinese language education abroad by conducting Chinese culture workshops at public elementary schools in the Bay Area;
Teaches graded after-school Chinese courses for heritage learners and provides coaching for the AP Chinese exam;
Possesses professional teaching experience in both Chinese immersion programs for heritage learners and Chinese classes for non-heritage learners;
Has extensive experience as a club coach at Bay Area private schools, excelling at communication with students and highly regarded by them.
🌼 汤圆老师（tāng yuán lǎo shī）：
Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma;
Majored in language comparison (English/Chinese), linguistics, and advanced English, specializing in instructional design and educational technology;
Instructional Designer at the Faculty Development Center, California State University;
Possesses extensive K-12 instructional design experience and professional teaching experience in Chinese immersion programs for heritage students;
Skilled at applying educational psychology principles to engage students, boost their confidence, and make learning enjoyable;
Known for using technology and creative teaching to help students thrive in a bicultural environment, making her a favorite among students.
🌼 荔枝老师（lì zhī lǎo shī）：
Bachelor's degree in Education;
Dual Master's degrees in Educational Administration from China and the US;
Public school teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area;
Actively involved in the forefront of basic education and Chinese language education in the San Francisco Bay Area, with extensive teaching experience in both Chinese immersion programs for heritage learners and Chinese classes for non-heritage learners.
